Building Up

The architectural landscape and interior spaces interest me as potential subjects for paintings. The community I live in is influenced by the nearby Disney theme parks. There is a particular business complex with several buildings that sit on low grass covered tiered platforms. There is none of the typical landscape material surrounding the buildings. The look of buildings rising from the flat grassy platforms take on the appearance  of toys. The tall industrial buildings look as though they could be picked up and moved around like building block toys. The simplicity of the shapes and the many geometric grids created by squares within squares are forever interesting to see.
